Features
The CORE212A is a three-way full-range linear array that uses linear array technology and planar waveguide technology to achieve the best dynamic results. The CORE212A loudspeaker enclosure is based on a 3-way active design and perfectly combines the high-efficiency advantage of the horn with the low-frequency extensibility of the inverted box.
It features two 12” low-frequency, four 6.5”mid-frequency, and two 2” neodymium transducers. The low frequency is in an inverted load design that extends low-frequency response while the mid-frequency section provides up to 104 dB / 1W / 1M sensitivity and planar arrangement which greatly reduces system distortion and creates a low-curvature wavefront. The High-frequency drivers use a precision equal path horn load that converts the high-frequency audio waveform from a spherical wave to a phase-phase plane wave, greatly reducing the high-frequency interference effect which allows for greatly improved voice clarity over long distances.
The CORE212A enclosure operates over the nominal frequency range of 35 Hz to 19 kHz. Its LF resources can be reinforced with a dedicated low-frequency loudspeaker to form a seamless four-way system.
The cabinet is made of machined first-grade Baltic birch plywood combined with a precision steel and aluminum alloy rigging system to ensure maximum acoustical and mechanical integrity while reducing weight to the minimum. The rigging system allows vertical assembly of enclosures with various inter-element angles (0 to 8°), constituting a line array with variable curvature.
The CORE212A is driven and quad-amplified by a high-power four-channel Class D amplifier and is specifically designed to connect in parallel with a corresponding CORE212P passive full-range array module.

FIR PHASE CORRECTION
NUCLEUS FIR by Sound Barrier™ Loudspeaker Management Software features the FIR Phase Wizard, a step-by-step FIR system phase correction mode that maximizes the performance of the CORE series for efficiency and potency by phase correcting and adapting the system to its surrounding environment/ venue. The procedure only requires an ASIO box (audio interface), measurement microphone, and CORE series line array system. The software automatically detects the ASIO box and measurement microphone when connected to the user’s PC.
Easy as 1 -2 - 3
Once the PC is connected to the CORE series system (via an RS485), the FIR Phase Wizard step-by-step instructions will guide the user from IR measurement to FIR calculation. The Phase Wizard automatically processes measures and analyzes the test signal produced by the CORE system to allow for the system's environmental phase correction. Once the system’s environmental phase correction is complete, users can save the data onto their PC as an FIR Phase Wizard File and/or load it onto the CORE series system cabinets. The FIR Wizard software and integrated applications transform the CORE series sound reinforcement system from an active line array system into a transcendent and revolutionary piece of audio technology.
Thinking outside the box.
The CORE system amplifiers deliver an ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response, and impressive audio performance that is more than enough to power a CORE active array module and an additional CORE passive array module. The amp is constructed with a solid machined aluminum structure, which not only stabilizes the amplifier during transportation but also assists in heat dissipation. To ensure the integrity of the amplifier's components in high-temperature settings, additional cooling fans have been integrated into the design.
Precision Drivers.
The CORE 212A is a 3-way system that combines line array principles with innovative horn-loading techniques to produce a compelling large-scale line array with impressive dynamic impact. The low-frequency section is comprised of two 12" / 3" voice coil neodymium drivers. The mide-frequency section is comprised of four 6.5" / 2" voice coil neodymium drivers. The high-frequency section is comprised of two 2" throat, and 3" voice coil neodymium horn elements to produce a high-efficiency, low-curvature vertical wavefront. This optimal HF curvature enables the cabinet's enclosures within the array to be splayed up to 8° without introducing gaps in the HF vertical coverage.
